Cedar
Our cedar fences are
constructed using 4x4 posts, 2x4's and your choice of 6 or 4 inch dog ear
pickets. Posts are set 24 inches in the ground using concrete. Rails are secured
using 3 inch wood screws and pickets are attached using galvanized #8 square bit
screws. Cedar fences can be made any height up to 6' tall in a variety of
styles.
Privacy
puts the pickets side by side, on one side of the rails without gaps.
Shadowbox
puts the pickets on each side of the rails, with a picket-wide space in between
each picket. The pickets are off set so that each gap on one side of the rail is
covered by a picket on the other side.
Lattice top
is a unique style where the pickets are cut a foot shorter than the desired
height of the fence. One foot of lattice is then secured above those pickets
giving the correct total height.
Spaced-picket
is a popular design for short fences that generally line a front yard along a
road or sidewalk. Usually used in the case of a 3 foot tall fence or shorter,
pickets are attached with a picket-wide space in between each picket.
